AMW procures the following category of components from qualified suppliers:
Aggregates: gear box, axles, etc.
Sheet Metal Parts: pressed parts, fabricated parts.
Rubber Parts: extruded parts like hose, weatherstrips, mountings ( rubber to metal bonded), moulded rubber parts, bellows.
Plastic Parts: Gear shift knob, AC duct parts, roof moldings, door trims.
Proprietary Parts: clutch, drag links, power steering kit, lamps, tires, seat belts, instruments, horns, AC parts like compressor, condensor, sensors.
Electrical Parts: wiring harness, lamps.
Qualifications
Quality parameters for applying:
- Supplier should be minimum TS16949 certified
- Supplier should be a supplier to OEM in Auto industry
Operational Requirements
Information regarding specific requirement, part dimensions, material quality, performance, testing criteria etc. will be posted as and when requirements for components emerge.
